Republicans are Fascist?

The embattled Seminole Republican Executive Committee, whose chairman Benjamin Paris was recently arrested on a misdemeanor related to elections, had their office vandalized this past weekend. The vandals, presumably anarchists, spray painted a vulgarity across the group’s office’s window sign. Republicans, both at the state and federal levels, came out to denounce the vandalism, but Democrats stayed silent. READ MORE

Where is Dan Webster?

Longtime Conservative Republican Congressman Dan Webster is said to be very ill, and there is speculation that he will be retiring shortly after the November election.

Republican members of Congress have told The Floridian that Rep. Webster is sick and that he has not been seen as much on the Hill.

If and when Rep. Webster retires early, it would cause Gov. Ron DeSantis to call for a special election to replace the congressional vacancy.

Laura Loomer, who lost to Webster last week by only 5,200 votes, says she is running again, as is State Rep. Anthony Sabatini, who also lost his primary race. Sabatini lost his race by 14 points.

In response to his challenger, Rubio is calling Demings ‘a Do-Nothing Congresswoman.”

"Anthony Sabatini Looks to run for Congress Again," by The Floridian's Javier Manjarres—Less than a week after getting crushed by 15 percentage point in his congressional race in Florida’s 7th District, State Rep. Anthony Sabatini, has announced that he will be running for Congress in District 11 if Rep. Dan Webster retires.

Donalds Commemorates 13 Fallen Service Members in Afghanistan Withdrawal; Reaffirms Call for Biden to Resign," by The Floridian's Jackson Bakich—Friday, Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) sent out a press release regarding the one-year anniversary of the 13 service members who died in Kabul during the attempted evacuation of the U.S. military from Afghanistan. The attempted withdrawal was supposed to bring the United States out of the area peacefully for the first time since 9/11 but ended in tragedy when radical Islamic extremist groups descended upon the area.

"Demings Calls Rubio an Anti-Abortion Radical Despite Her Own Pro-Abortion Radicalism," by The Floridian's Grayson Bakich—Ever since the overturning of Roe v. Wade in June, many "Red States" have acted accordingly, placing heavy restrictions on, or outright banning, abortion. Thursday, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said that he has and would support legislation that has exceptions for pregnancies, including pregnancies that have been a result of rape or incest.

"Rubio Calls Out Demings for Supporting Mass Student Loan Forgiveness," by The Floridian's Jackson Bakich—Yesterday, President Joe Biden (D) made an announcement stating that his administration would be paying tens of thousands of dollars of student loan debt to individuals using taxpayer dollars. Republicans have jeered this decision, while some Democrats have applauded it. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) is not a fan.

"DeSantis Announces New SunPass Savings Program," by The Floridian's Grayson Bakich—If any of The Floridian's readership frequently drives on Florida's toll roads, you can breathe a bit easier now. On Thursday, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is implementing a new "SunPass Savings" program beginning September 1st. This six-month initiative is estimated to save users $38 million, and DeSantis is calling on the State Legislature to "take necessary action" next year so more Floridians can save toll money.

"Diaz-Balart Condemns Biden's Reduction in Force of Office of Cuba Broadcasting," by The Floridian's Grayson Bakich—For many years, the United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM) has given the Cuban people news media through its Office of Cuba Broadcasting (OCB) that the state disallows. Recently, however, just over a year after the historic July 11th protests, its budget has been facing a Reduction in Force (RIF). Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL-25) is calling this RIF "despicable" and an attempt by the Biden administration "to appease the Communist oppressors."

"Scott Demands Diaz-Canel, Maduro, and Ortega be Denied Entry to UN General Assembly,"by The Floridian's Grayson Bakich—There are three regimes that stand out in the Western Hemisphere for their human rights abuses and as threats to US interests—Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua. Cuba, under Miguel Diaz-Canel, Nicolas Maduro's Venezuela, and Daniel Ortega's reign of terror in Nicaragua, have all contributed to the majority of human rights atrocities committed in Latin America.

Crist, who defeated Fried by a wide margin, is now positioning himself as the Democrat that can unseat DeSantis in the November election. Releasing a new advertisement, Crist is calling for Florida voters to “defeat fascism, defeat DeSantis.”

"DeSantis Tired of ‘Little Elf’ Dr. Fauci," by The Floridian's Daniel Molina—Dr. Anthony Fauci continues to attract criticism as he gears up to step down from his position in December. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R), one of Fauci’s top critics in the country, addressed Fauci’s media appearances. Showing his displeasure to those in attendance at the Keep Florida Free tour, DeSantis called Fauci a “little elf.”

"Florida Reps Attack Biden's Student Loan Forgiveness Plan," by The Floridian's Grayson Bakich—On Wednesday, the Biden administration announces that it will forgive $10,000 student loans to those who make less than $125,ooo a year. As swell as this sounds, this will cost taxpayers $300 billion, and the national debt is currently at $30.7 trillion. Needless to say, Republicans and conservatives have called out this latest directive from the White House.

"DeSantis Administration to Invest $56 Million; Protect 20,000 Acres of FL Land," by The Floridian's Jackson Bakich—All throughout the Sunshine State, Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and his administration has designated over $56 million for 20,000 acres for natural conservation. More than 98% of the land is within Florida’s Wildlife Corridor, which is a series of lands that are interworking and are integral to the sustainability of the state’s ecosystem.

"Scott Announces COLLEGE Act; Looking to Make Universities More Responsible for Debt," by The Floridian's Jackson Bakich—On Monday, Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) announced his intention to introduce the Changing Our Learning, Loans, Endowments, and Graduation Expectations (COLLEGE) Act. With the President Joe Biden (D) announcing today that the administration will forgive up to $20,000 in student loan debt, many Republicans, including the Florida Senator, have come out saying that forgiving college debt would be a disaster.
