Florida Democrat Voter Feels 'Cheated' by Democrat Politicians

Share

As Republicans eye-up taking back the House and Senate in November, they will depend on many unlikely voters joining the Republican ranks this election cycle.  However, this seems more likely, as a Florida Democrat voter is claiming she feels "cheated" by Democrats.

Fox News interviewed a Florida Democrat voter who used reasonably strong language to express her disappointment with how she voted in the previous election cycle.  Maranda Douglas said on "Fox & Friends First" that she had to move back in with her mom as costs rise and she struggles to find employment opportunities that fit her college education.

Douglas also said she feels, "cheated," by the Democrat party and cited her rent rising $500 per month and was forced to move her family back in with her parents.  This came after Douglas was under the assumption she could receive some sort of federal assistance but did not qualify.

"It's really crippled us and puts at a disadvantage for trying to raise our family," stated Douglas, adding that politicians do not keep their promises.  These remarks came after Douglas said she felt this was, "not the deal," she made when she decided to attend college under the Biden Administration.

Douglas told Fox News, "I hope that everyone takes the responsibility to educate themselves about how to vote. I'm not too sure if the Democratic Party is going to really be held accountable for what's going on by the people who do vote."

It can reasonably be inferred that Douglas is not alone in her dismay.  President Biden (D) has seen record low approval ratings amid what many consider to be economic failures.  Record high gas prices and rising inflation have continued to the defining features of the Biden Administration and an easy punching bag for GOP candidates heading into a highly anticipated election season this fall.
