DeSantis Says Biden’s U.S. is ‘Disastrous’

Share

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ (R) Team continues to criticize the “trajectory” of the country, calling it 'disastrous.' While Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried (D) and Florida Rep. Charlie Crist (D) challenge each other for their political party's nomination, criticizing DeSantis, the Florida Governor has remained a vocal critic of the president.

In a message delivered to supporters over the weekend, DeSantis's Team expressed that saying the country was on a “disastrous” path is an understatement because “Joe Biden has failed Americans at every turn and Democrats have been complicit in his destruction of our country.”

One point of contention between Republicans and Democrats is the economic state of the country with Republicans affirming that the United States is in a recession. The Biden administration has argued that the country is not facing a recession, a controversial statement in the political landscape. It resulted in the definition of recession being changed a number of times, and Governor DeSantis this is an example of Democrats trying “to spin the truth in favor of their false narratives.”

In response, Team DeSantis is calling for voters to “reject the left’s distortion of truth.”

“As a leader, you can’t simply manipulate your way to success,” said DeSantis, adding that “instead of attempting to correct course and right his many wrongs in office, Biden is now just rewriting history – but Floridians aren’t falling for it.”

Florida Democrats have been vocally critical of DeSantis, accusing him of enacting authoritarian laws. California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) released an advertisement in Florida, calling on Floridians to move to California, saying it’s a freer state. Moreover, Governor Newsom has made the call to all residents of red states, calling California a much more attractive state in terms of the freedoms it provides.

“Democrats can continue on their woke rampage of redefining reality all they want, but they will never be able to rewrite the way Americans have been impacted by their bad policy,” the DeSantis Team concluded, saying that voters will choose between “freedom or tyranny” in the upcoming midterm election.
