Rubio: Demings ‘a Rubber Stamp for Liberal Agenda’

Share

During an interview on the Brian Rust Show, Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R) chided Florida Rep. Val Demings (D), calling her “a rubber stamp for liberal agenda.”

The Florida Senator, running for reelection, stopped by the Brian Rust Show this week to discuss numerous subjects, including President Joe Biden (D) and his Senatorial race. He also discussed California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) running an advertisement in Florida, which criticized Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) and asked Floridians to move to California.

Rubio, like other GOP members, remains hopeful about the upcoming election, signaling that President Biden’s “failures” will help GOP members become elected across the country.

“We have a crime wave in America because that’s what happens when your ideology tells you you can’t arrest people, and if you do, you got to let them out of jail and you waive bail,” Rubio argued.

The Republican Senator commented that Americans have become “distrustful” because of a “double standard.”

“When you turn on a network or see a station, you know you’re not going to get just the straight facts so you can make a decision, you’re going to get a narrative,” he commented, adding that the “Media has become about narratives.”

In Florida, which Governor DeSantis has designated the “freest state” in the country, the Senatorial race is one of the most closely watched races in the country. Though Rep. Demings’ campaign remains optimistic about her odds at replacing Rubio in the Senate, Rubio affirms that the decision for voters is clear.

“She’s the one Schumer wants, she’s voted with Pelosi 100% of the time, and that’s why they picked her to run, right?” Rubio questioned.

“They want someone that will be a rubber stamp,” Rubio added, saying that “every major law enforcement organization has endorsed me because this is someone who should know better from her time in law enforcement.”
