Lauren Book Launches Explosive Reelection Ad

Share

In particular, State Senator Lauren Book (D-32) has released a new ad for her reelection efforts just as Democrats look to hold on their existing seats during an expected "Red Wave" election for Republicans.

Featuring her and her family, the Senator Book focused on voicing her Democrat values like strong public schools and access to affordable health care, while also passing laws to keep our kids and communities safe.

"As a mom of two young kids, I’ve worked to strengthen local schools and successfully fought to expand access to health care for Broward families," said Lauren Book.  The Senator has also not shied away from her record defending survivors of sexual assault stating, "As a victim of child sexual abuse, I’ve made it my mission to protect children, because safer neighborhoods are critical for all families."

Book has allowed her tragic past of being a victim of sexual assault to launch a platform that helps others in need, and often dictates her legislative agenda.  The senator previously advocated for legislation to combat online child predators, and pushed for a diaper tax cut to help families, something Governor DeSantis (R-FL) has since done.

Additionally, Book was one of the first Florida Democrats to call for the resignation and prosecution of a member of her own party, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY), who fell from grace after being accused of sexual assault on multiple occasions.

In her reelection efforts, Book has managed to corral an impressive list of endorsements.  Not only have her colleagues, such as State Senator Annette Taddeo (D-40) gotten behind Book, but also Planned Parenthood, several local police organizations, and the Broward County Teachers' Union.
