First Lady of United States, Dr. Jill Biden, has been chastised by those in the media, specifically Hispanic media, for mentioning and equivocating the Latino community to “breakfast tacos” in San Antonio. This incident has garnered a lot of attention from conservatives as well; Marco Rubio changed his profile picture on Twitter to a taco in response:

At the 2022 UnidosUS Annual Conference in Texas, Dr. Biden stated that the Latino population is “as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio,” which led to the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) releasing a statement saying, “We are not tacos”.
“NAHJ encourages Dr. Biden and her speech writing team to take the time in the future to better understand the complexities of our people and communities,” the group would also mention that “using breakfast tacos to try to demonstrate the uniqueness of Latinos in San Antonio demonstrates a lack of cultural knowledge and sensitivity to the diversity of Latinos in the region. Our heritage as Latinos is shaped by a variety of diasporas, cultures and food traditions, and should not be reduced to a stereotype.”
To make matters worse, President Joe Biden’s (D) polling numbers among Hispanics have plummeted.
In just one year, President Biden’s approval rating among Hispanics dropped 29% in one year, compared to the 55% Biden had obtained before, both in the same Qunnipiac poll.
And finally to wrap up the polling on behalf of the Biden's, a New York Times poll has the current president at 33% points. The lowest in his tenure as President thus far. A whopping 64% of Democrats prefer another option to the former Vice President and member of the Washington establishment.
Joe Biden is 79 years old, and now many of the same Democrats that supported his presidential candidacy and and subsequent presidency, are now looking for another option in 2024.
Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have stated that they will be running for reelection, but that may change in the coming months, year. Several prominent Democrats have already appeared to positioned themselves for the job if Biden decides not to seek reelection.
