The Broward Soil and Water Conservation District (BSWCD), was created to “protect” and preserve Florida’s natural resources, preserve wildlife, and the “general welfare of the people of the state,” including the promotion and preservation of abortions.

On June 24, the BSWCD board which consists of  Emma Collum, Jelani Harvey, Richard DeNapoli, Alissa Schafer, and Fred Segal, posted an advertisement supporting board member Collum’s pro-Choice rally that took place at The Esplanade in Downtown Fort Lauderdale.

The rally was planned in response to the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the  1973 Roe vs. Wade decision.

Collum, along with Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, State Senators Lauren Book and Tina Polsky, along with other local elected officials and candidates for office, rallied a group of about 150 pro-choice activists in condemnation of the Supreme Court’s recent decision.

The BSWCD also appears to be using its social media platforms to promote other Democratic Party issues and Democrat elected officials like Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried.

Interestingly enough, DeNapoli and Segal are the only registered Republicans on the board.

DeNapoli, who is also the state committeeman in Broward County for the Republican Party of Florida, is no stranger to controversy.

Besides public records showing voting records for DeNapoli in two different counties in the same election, the controversial Republican has been chided by detractors and accused of a multitude of shady, illegal, and unethical actions, including having lied about his military service.

DeNapoli applied for an appointment with the Charlie Crist administration and did falsely state in the sworn questionnaire that he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Military.

DeNapoli was given an entry-level separation according to the Department of Navy.

In addition and according to court records,  DeNapoli was taken to court by his ex-wife for failing to pay child support.
