DeSantis: 'Brandon... America's Most Unpopular President'

Share

Although Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) is facing 3 Democratic gubernatorial challengers in the 2022 midterm election cycle, the Republican Governor has solely focused his efforts against President Joe Biden (D). This week, the feud continues as DeSantis further accuses “Brandon” of being “America’s most unpopular president.”

Governor DeSantis has often claimed that Florida is the freest state in the country, which has put him at odds with Democrats in the state and across the United States. One of these Democrats is President Biden, who's criticized DeSantis numerous times.

In a message to supporters, Governor DeSantis lamented that "at a time when Americans are facing real challenges, the Brandon administration is putting on another show of COVID theater."

It was announced this week that the Justice Department would be asking the court to reverse the order lifting the mask mandate on airplanes. Florida Rep. Charlie Crist (D), who is once again vying for the Governorship, has also expressed that should he win, he would implement a mask mandate in Florida.

However, during his tenure, DeSantis has vehemently opposed mask mandates, vaccine mandates, and vaccine passports. His opposition continues this week as Governor DeSantis further warns that the Biden administration "DOES. NOT. CARE. about your freedoms, your rights, or your personal liberties."

"Brandon and his cronies in the federal government are seeking to fight a federal judge’s decision and reimpose forced masking on airplanes," said DeSantis, arguing that "It appears Brandon is doing everything possible to solidify his standing as America’s most unpopular president – and it’s working."

"We shake our heads and make jokes about it, but the underlying motive is dangerous and sinister," he added, calling the move "terrifying."

Instead, Governor DeSantis made a distinction between his administration and the Biden administration, vowing to protect the rights of Floridians and vowing to preserve their freedoms.

"The Free State of Florida will continue to fight back against these ridiculous lockdown policies," DeSantis affirmed.
