Democrats Laugh at Rising Gas Prices

Share

While The Floridian has been up to date about the rising gas prices in America, some members of the Legislative Branch have been laughing at the high gas prices in their home state as they’ve driven past gas stations in electric vehicles, while the average consumer cannot afford to make the switch to electric vehicles because they’re too busy looking for baby formula or are trying to make ends meet due to the inflation crisis.

However, Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) was one of those members in the Legislative Branch that was laughing. According to the U.S. Census, the average median household income in Michigan is $59,234. According to Kelley Blue Book, the average cost of an electric vehicle is $46,329.

Stabenow still had the audacity to exclaim to her colleagues in the Senate about how she passed gas station and saw how high the prices were.

“On the issue of gas prices, I drove my electric vehicle from Michigan to here last weekend and went by every gas station and it didn’t matter how high it was," stated Rep. Stabenow.

Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL) saw this tweet and he did some research to back up his rebuttal even more. He stated in a tweet:

“DEMs continue to laugh at the struggles of working-class Americans who are suffering due to Biden’s Price Hike. Just look how happy @SenStabenow is when boasting about driving her EV. The national avg gas price in MI is $5.171. I can assure you Michiganders aren’t laughing.”

For years, Republicans have claimed that Democrats are out of touch with their constituents and have caved to the policies of the far left. For years, the Democratic Party was the party of the working class, the blue-collar man. Coal miners and their unions were Democratic strongholds in the electorate.

Now, Republicans could use this video in ads to prove what they’ve been saying all along.
