CNN Commentator and anti-Trump activist Ana Navarro has tried to make the case for why abortions should be legal, using her disabled family members as examples of why a woman should be allowed to have an abortion.
Navarro, talked about her mentally disabled 57-year-old brother, her stepdaughter with Down Syndrome, and a stepgrandson that has autism to make her case in support of abortion.
Disabilities like Down Syndrome can usually be detected in the second trimester, but Autism is not diagnosed, it can’t be diagnosed until the baby is born.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has already stated that because there aren’t medical or blood tests to diagnose the disorder, it is very difficult to detect.
“Diagnosing autism spectrum disorder (ASD) can be difficult because there is no medical test, like a blood test, to diagnose the disorder. Doctors look at the child’s developmental history and behavior to make a diagnosis.
ASD can sometimes be detected at 18 months of age or younger. By age 2, a diagnosis by an experienced professional can be considered reliable [1]. However, many children do not receive a final diagnosis until much older. Some people are not diagnosed until they are adolescents or adults. This delay means that people with ASD might not get the early help they need.”—CDC
Navarro’s incredible remark that abortion should be legal of women to abort a child with known disabilities or for potentially having a mental and motor disability is truly unbelievable.
Hours earlier, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe vs. Wade sparking widespread protests. Law enforcement expects the protests to turn violent.
CNN commentator uses her disabled brother & step granddaughter who has Down syndrome as examples of why we need abortion.
The ugly cruelty. The utterly bald ageism and ableism. The unfettered call for violence against the unborn disabled. pic.twitter.com/qo3jdfkK8b
