Carolina Amesty Endorsed by Senator Danny Burgess

In the crowded field to become the next State Representative in Florida's 45th District, Christian College executive Carolina Amesty (R-FL) has been endorsed by State Senator Danny Burgess (R-20).

In Windermere, Florida this week, Amesty announced the endorsement of her campaign that she hopes will be enough to set her apart from the crowded field.

"Carolina is a true conservative with a heart for public service and the values that will cause her to fight for the small businesses and working families of Florida," said Sen. Danny Burgess. "Carolina will take the same energy that has made her a successful businesswoman and educator to the Florida Legislature, and I fully endorse her campaign."

Senator Burgess is not only the Senator representing District 20 but also serves as a Major in the United States Army Reserve.  Before his election, Burgess was appointed to serve as Executive Director of the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and remained in this post until the launch of his campaign for state senate in 2020. During this year’s legislative session, Burgess held the position of chairman of the Senate Legislative Reapportionment Subcommittee and was selected to chair the Senate Judiciary Committee.

"Receiving an endorsement from Sen. Danny Burgess is a true honor," said Carolina Amesty. "Sen. Burgess is an unparalleled advocate for our state’s veterans and is also a strong voice for childhood literacy.  With endorsements like these, I know we will be successful, and I look forward to serving with him in the Florida Legislature."

Senator Burgess now joins a lengthy list of endorsements for Amesty.  The State House hopeful has also been backed by State Rep. Joe Harding (R-22) who authored the infamous Parental Rights in Education bill in the 2022 legislative session.

Running against Amesty in her primary are retired police officer Janet Frevola, businessman Bruno Portigliatti, and previous congressional candidates, Vennia Francois and Mike Zhao.
