Byron Donalds to President Biden: We Told You So

With gas prices spiking at 5 dollars nationally and climbing, inflation rates skyrocketing, and the economy sinking, families across the nation have been cutting corners due to their wallets becoming lighter. Gas, groceries, mortgage payments, restaurant dining; they’ve all gone up in price.

Some local businesses just haven’t been able to keep up.

Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) brought up this notion and the fact that the American people are suffering from all these problems with no plausible solution from the Democrats in sight.

“It’s going to cost the average American about $500 more a month to just live. How does that help middle-income families in our country? How does it help poor families in our country? How does it help seniors on fixed income in our country? It does not.” Stated the passionate and fiery Donalds. “You know, when Joe Biden first came in, and he said he had a plan to save America, his ‘America Rescue’ plan, House Republicans told him that it was going to be a disaster for America. We said it was going to lead to inflation. It did. We said it was going to create a labor shortage. It did.”

Lastly, the Florida Congressman called out the Democrats for attempting to persuade the American people that the “Rescue America” plan is working by having a hearing in the Budget Committee to talk about the “importance of the American Rescue plan.”

“And so right now, in the Budget Committee, House Democrats are having a hearing to talk about the importance of the American Rescue plan. Folks, we know the truth. If your plan works, you don’t have to hold Congressional hearings to prove it. The proof is in the pudding. Every American would know it.”
