Crist Agrees with Biden to Lift Cuban Restrictions

Share

Since the communist revolution, the United States of America has always had a contentious (to say the least) relationship with Cuba. With the Truman Doctrine, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and the end of the Cold War, the dynamics of the way in which the United States approaches the Cuban regime and its people has changed over the decades.

However, in today’s times, the people of Cuba are not responsible for the oppression they face.

While hundreds of activists in Cuba are wrongfully imprisoned for speaking freely, the Biden administration has eased restrictions on the Cuban dictatorship and allowed more access to the United States financial institutions.

Rep. Charlie Crist (D-FL), possibly in an effort to appease President Joe Biden (D), stated that he was “encouraged by the Biden Administration’s announcement.”

RNC Spokeswoman Julia Friedland said that Crist’s words were a “blatant show of disrespect to the many Floridians who have fled communist/socialist countries like Cuba,” and then when on to mention that “But given Crist’s past hobnobbing with the murderous regime, it wasn’t hard for him to choose being Joe Biden’s biggest cheerleader even if it was a slap in the face to Florida’s Cuban population.”

The Biden administration as of late has shown no hesitancy to engage in communications with communist/socialist regimes such as Venezuela, Iran, and now Cuba.
