Former Marco Rubio staffer and state senate candidate Alina Garcia will not be running in State Senate District 38, and will be filing paperwork to run in House District 115, the seat Rep. Vance Alupis, Jr. (R) is vacating.
Garcia’s decision to run for Rep. Alupis’s seat is sound, this considering that the seat leans Republican, while SD 38 leans Democrat.
To date, Garcia, who has received the endorsement of Senator Marco Rubio, has raised over $300,000 between her campaign account and her newly-minted political committee.
