Navy Vet Erick Aguilar Ready to Share His 'America First Message' with CD 4

With President Joe Biden's first midterm election just around the corner, Republicans are in prime position to win many congressional races, especially in Florida.

Navy veteran Erick Aguilar (R-FL)  has become the latest candidate to throw his hat in the ring for the seat in Florida's 4th Congressional District.

Aguilar describes himself as a political outsider, and takes pride in his agenda that he intends to bring to Congress.  Not only has he credited his bid for Congress to the Biden Administration's policies, but Aguilar also has praised his donors for supporting his campaign.

In total, Aguilar has broken the 7 figure fundraising threshold, which has not come from special interest groups, but from everyday Americans around Florida and the nation.

Aguilar has raised $1,012,685.31 and has $812,000 cash on hand. Of that $1 million he has raised, $405,000 has come in the form of contributions he has made to the campaign.

"I retired from the Navy in 2016.  I thought I was going to spend that time with my kids.  Then I started seeing that it wasn't the country that I defended," Aguilar told The Floridian.  The candidate continued, "Still today, we need to have more action and leadership.  I understand there is politics, I understand things happen, but we need to get results... I am not a politician, I am a leader."

Aguilar also spoke out against career politicians, stating, "I want to be action-oriented.  And I don't want to stay in office for the rest of my life, I want to serve my terms and hopefully one day I'll be able to go ahead and train others and show them what public service means."

In terms of a platform, Aguilar intends to make a lot of big promises to his constituents, which mostly counter what we have seen this past year, with, "Definitely no mandates, no lockdowns, medical freedom, for free speech, pro-Second Amendment, and no red flag laws."

Aguilar also disclosed that he does support the latest movement among Conservatives to advocate for parental rights in the public school system.  Aguilar then hinted that if elected, he would author legislation similar to the Parental Rights in Education bill and many other Florida policies that have been implemented across the state.
