Kroger Delivery Hiring 200 Associates as it Expands to South Florida

Share

The country’s largest supermarket chain is bringing groceries right to South Florida residents’ doorstep this summer – and they’re hiring 200+ employees to make it happen. Kroger is bringing its online delivery service to the area just in time for families to plan their summer barbecue, the company announced recently.

“The service combines the efficiency of technology with the experience of our associates to deliver fresh, affordable groceries directly to customers' homes,” said Andrea Colby, eCommerce corporate affairs and communications manager. “We are thrilled about the opportunity to provide fresh products and convenient services to customers throughout South Florida.”

The Cincinnati-based company has been around for 139 years. However, the South Florida location will be its fourth facility in the Sunshine State. Last year, the company opened spoke centers in the greater Orlando area, Tampa, and Jacksonville.

The grocery store chain also plans to bring more jobs to South Florida by hiring more than 200 associates to fill positions such as drivers. They are also recruiting for departments such as logistics and human resources. Kroger plans to hire individuals with diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. This comes as businesses are dealing with constantly being short staff and trying to find ways to get people to apply for positions. However, the company is working to recruit potential associates by offering benefits like flexible hours, competitive wages, and health care benefits.

“We have an ongoing goal to provide customers the highest level of service possible and want to hire individuals who share in our passion for people and fresh food,” said Peggy McCaslin, human resources manager, Kroger Delivery.
