Businesswoman and educator Carolina Amesty has announced that she has raised $250,000 for her campaign for House District 45 campaign, with $200,000 of that total coming in the form of a personal loan.
Amesty, who recently received the endorsement of Conservative State Rep. Joe Harding has been able to collect $50,000 in just under 4 weeks between her political committee and her campaign.
“I’m so encouraged by the support I’ve received since I announced my candidacy,” said Carolina. “The people of House District 45 are responding to my conservative message and optimistic vision for Central Florida. We are rebuilding our strong economy and coming together to defend important values, including choice in education, parents’ rights, and free markets. I would be honored to serve the wonderful people of our district as their Representative in Tallahassee.”
While all of the Republicans running across the state will undoubtedly be running against the consistent "Progressive" or "Democratic Socialist" messaging from the Florida Democrats, Amesty could have the early advantage in the race considering that she was born in Venezuela, and knows all-too-well the consequences of adopting Socialism.
HD 45 has a significant Hispanic population, but while there isn't a large Venezuelan presence like there is in South Florida, and because of the Latino tribalism that exists when it comes to political and socioeconomic issues, Hispanics could be very receptive to Amesty's pro-America, anti-Socialism mindset.
Other Republicans running in the seat that includes Southwestern Orange County, Disney, Winter Garden, and Windemere, are former congressional candidates, Vennia Francois and Mike Zhao, and as businessman Bruno Portigliatti.
