Rep. Waltz: Russia's Involvement in Iran Deal is "Dangerous"

Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) went on Fox Business today to discuss the Biden administration’s handling of the Iran nuclear deal. Rep. Waltz is claiming that the President is failing to use Congress as a negotiator because he believes that the deal will not have the support of the people legislators represent.

Waltz was also distraught with the fact that Russia is at the negotiating table throughout this deal and that they could be reaping the benefits.

“Russians have been involved in every aspect of the our (sic) negotiations with Iran. It’ll be the Russians who take the enriched uranium coming out of Iran & that’s dangerous. Any deal should be negotiated that will receive bipartisan support in congress and become a treaty," stated Waltz.

During this interview, Waltz went on to mention that Biden is failing to bring the deal to Congress due to its divisive nature. The deal has gone through so many ups and downs it's not surprising that a president would want to stay away from Congress. This is what Waltz had to say:

“The issue is Biden won’t dare to bring it to Congress. And we really pushed his negotiating team that any deal you enter this country into needs the support of the American people, and you need to bring it to the Congress in line with the Constitution and take it to the Senate and make it a treaty," added Waltz.

The initial Iran nuclear deal was instigated during the later portion of the Obama administration. Former President Donald Trump removed the U.S. from the deal early in his presidency, which is now being renegotiated by the Biden administration.
