Freshman Congressman Byron Donalds got into a Twitter scuffle with Progressive Democrat Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) after the veteran lawmaker suggested that offshore oil drilling in Florida should be allowed. Rep. Gallego's remark was in response to Rep. Donalds' tweet where he slammed the Biden administration for holding oil talks with the murderous Maduro regime in Venezuela because of the current energy crisis.
"Just the mere thought of the Biden-Harris administration reaching out to the Maduro regime is a slap in the face to the half a million Venezuelans that call America home who fled his vicious and failed socialist nation," said Rep. Donalds.
"So can we open up the Florida Coast for drilling," asked Rep. Gallego.
Rep. Donalds responded by telling Gallego to "get real" and directed him to call on President Biden to strike the "energy exec orders" he signed shortly after taking office.
"Are you serious? Our problem is terrible energy policy from @JoeBiden, not Florida's coastline. Get real! Tell the President to undo his energy exec orders. That will go a long way," stated Donalds.
Gallego fired back, stating, "Florida Republicans want to drill everywhere but Florida… They should lead by example and allow Florida to open first for leases of their coast."
Then Donalds responded,"Still talking? Floridians don't want to drill off the coast, but we have drilling in our state. Oh, and those 9,000 leases, how long will it take to pump oil out with the crazy Biden regs??? Do you want to drill in the USA or use solar panels built in China?

Republicans have been arguing that instead of asking adversaries around the world to sell the U.S. more oil, President Biden just needed to allow American energy producers to pump more oil. The Biden administration has ruled out lifting the energy edicts that Republican believe would alleviate the energy crisis.
