Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) appears to be following his fellow liberal colleague Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) -- escaping their own mandated Blue State for sunny freedom-loving Florida just days after having a temper tantrum when blaming Republicans for "prolonging" the COVID pandemic.

Swalwell on Tuesday was photographed maskless as he vacationed with his family in mandate-free Florida. The photos, published exclusively to Dailymail, show Swalwell chatting with a female friend at the lobby of a four-star hotel, luxurious Loews Miami Beach Hotel, while holding his infant 2-month old son.

The congressman took aim at the GOP in a scathing New Year's Eve tweet accusing them of being responsible for the latest wave Omicron surge.

"As we end 2021, mired in a deadly pandemic, you should know who has prolonged it," Swalwell wrote. "THESE GUYS. Republican liars. Your vacation canceled. Your kids back to virtual learning. And back to masks everywhere. For blame look no farther than #TheseGuys."

Swalwell was seen maskless in the photos, rocking a polo, shorts, and boat shoes were recognized and approached by bystanders who took note of his unlikely visit to the Sunshine State.

"When a guest saw Swalwell sitting there with his child and another person, they sarcastically," told the Congressman "Nice to see you in Miami," an eyewitness told Swalwell said: "Thank you." But when another hotel guest went on to ask Swalwell about his lack of face covering, the California Democrats was left "speechless," according to the source.

Swalwell is a huge proponent of mask and vaccine mandates, bashing Republicans for failing to enforce such measures. Florida is one of those red states Swalwell and Democrats have criticized, over the refusal to implement "draconian" COVID-related policies, that Swalwell's own state of California and New York have pushed for the past two years. The Blue state COVID mandates have led to a mass exodus in New York and California, causing both Democratic-run states to lose a House seat. Meanwhile, Florida has seen a population surge, gained a House seat in the upcoming Census redistricting, and a soaring economy.

Last month, Swalwell called for President Biden to implement mandatory vaccines before boarding a domestic flight, despite the vaccines haven't stopped the latest surge of Omicron.

"It's unsafe in the cabin, and we are transporting the virus," Swalwell tweeted while on a flight to San Francisco on December 19. 'Requiring the vaccine to fly is the LEAST we can do to stop the spread.

Despite grumbling on apparently canceled vacations and a mask mandate reimposed again, Swalwell continued ahead with his vacation plans to the Sunshine state with a newborn, nonetheless and ditched the mask the minute he stepped foot in the freedom-loving area of Miami.

Swalwell is not the only Democrat as of late from Congress who was recently seen vacationing in freedom Florida to escape their own heavily strict mandates implemented they have triumph. Ocasio-Cortez ringed in the New Year, hanging out in a packed-out Drag bar in Miami last week.

Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis quipped how Democrats from states who implemented "draconian" coronavirus policies as they slammed the Sunshine state but somehow will escape on vacation to Florida.

"If I had a dollar for every lockdown politician who decided to escape to Florida over the last two years, I'd be a pretty doggone wealthy man, let me tell you. I mean, Congresspeople, mayors, governors, I mean you name it," DeSantis said Monday.

The governor pointed to Democrats being typical hypocrites.

"It's interesting the reception that some of these folks will get in Florida," De Santis said. "I think a lot of Floridians say, 'Wait a minute you're bashing us because we're not doing your draconian policies, and yet we're the first place you want to flee to, to basically to be able to enjoy life.'"

"There are probably about a half dozen governors who have restrictions on their people and then were spotted at various points in Florida," he added.

Swalwell's office responded to The Floridian's request for comment regarding his vacation to the Sunshine state.

"The Congressman was in the Sunshine State to take official meetings and campaign to help Democrats keep the House," Swalwell's spokesperson said. "He loves Florida and has dozens of family members there. It is lies from unvaccinated Republicans that are prolonging the pandemic."
