Politics is a blood sport and every election cycle there are candidates for public office that feel that they have to push the envelope on social media to draw attention to their candidacy, and that is what has happened to Rep. Alex Andrade (R).
Drew Zambrano, a registered NPA who goes by the Twitter handle @DrewforFlorida and is running for the state House in District 67, recently tweeted an apparent stalking threat at Rep. Alex Andrade (R), stating,” Maybe I should stop by @RAlexandradeFL house tonight or tomorrow and see if his wife needs help escaping.”
Zambrano added,” If she doesn’t, then I can ask how she is able to be with a homophobic, hateful human like Alex, AKA Bobby. That’s his new name, Bobby the Butt Kisser.”
Rep. Andrade is in Tallahassee for the legislative session and has told The Floridian that Zambrano knows where he lives and has “doxxed” him and his wife in the past.

Zambrano appears to take issue with Gov. DeSantis, Republicans, and Rep. Andrade on several issues, but Andrade’s recent statement that ”healthcare is not a constitutional right” appears to have triggered his response,” referring to him as the “devil of Florida politics” and a “homophobic pile of garbage.”
Rep. Andrade says, “threats like this are commonplace, and it’s a sad commentary on our political discourse that people feel comfortable threatening me for my conservative beliefs.”
Zambrano's candidacy appears to fuel the ongoing political discussion of "ghost candidates" that run for office as NPAs to help either a Republican or Democratic opponent win their respective race.
