DeSantis Warns Americans should Resist ‘Faucism’

Share

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) continues to rally support against Dr. Anthony Fauci, and this time it comes after Dr. Fauci has shared his thoughts on the recent Omicron spread. Airlines have been the topic of discussion, considering whether or not passengers should be required to wear masks on planes. Gov. DeSantis has not shied away from expressing his views, which include no mask mandates, no vaccine mandates, and no vaccine passports.

In response to Dr. Fauci’s recent comments, DeSantis declared that Americans should resist “permanent Faucism.”

Dr. Fauci was most recently interviewed on ABC’s This Week. During the interview, he discussed recent comments from airline executives who felt that “masks on plane don’t add much protection.” Shortly after taking part in a Senate hearing where he argued against the use of masks on airplanes, Southwest Airlines CEO Gary Kelly tested positive for COVID.

When asked if we’re ‘gonna get to the point of where we won’t have to wear masks on airplanes?” Dr. Fauci responded by saying “I don’t think so.”

DeSantis has made numerous calls for Fauci to resign, and his most recent effort continues to call into question Fauci’s counsel during the ongoing pandemic.

‘He took to national TV – where he spends most of his time – to pledge support for a permanent mask mandate for air travel,” said DeSantis, explaining that “for COVID authoritarians like Fauci, Biden and their Democratic cronies, these mandates are not about a virus but about them wielding power over others.”

Because of this, DeSantis warned that “we cannot allow our communities to become Faucian dystopias in which people’s freedoms are curtailed and their livelihoods destroyed.”

He accused Fauci of not caring “about doing what’s right or using even basic common sense.” Instead, the Florida Governor argued that Fauci is “too caught up in TV interviews, magazine covers, and the adulation and acceptance from elitists that he’s likely craved his entire life.”
