Demings Finds new Voice to Push the Biden Agenda

As 2021 comes to a close, all eyes now focus on the 2022 midterm elections where Democrats are expected to lose control of the U.S. Congress for supporting and voting in favor of the Biden agenda and controversial legislation like the "For The People Act" and the "Build Back Better" measures that Republicans have labeled "Socialist."

Since announcing her intentions to run against Senator Marco Rubio in the 2022 midterms, Rep. Val Demings (D) has kept a very low, stealthy profile, avoiding Capitol Hill reporters at every turn, and limiting her public exposure by not announcing where her campaign or legislative events will be.

Republicans say she is dodging the press.

Rep. Demings's political about-face is striking.

The once-aggressive, edgy, yet charismatic lawmaker, who jumped at the chance to discuss her views on issues like the impeachment of former President Donald Trump and promoting the Progressive agenda in the House of Representatives, has now found a new voice.

Rep. Demings appears to be measuring her statements on Twitter. The days of her railing against Republicans by using sharp critiques are long gone and have been replaced by "softer" language to convey her position on issues.

The Floridian has reached out to Rep. Demings and her legislative office for comment for this story and others, but has not heard back from either her or her office.

A recent series of tweets show exactly how Demings is measuring her words and still getting her message across.

"Let’s not be distracted by politically-motivated lies which seek the undermine faith in our elections," tweeted Demings.

Demings is referring to the Republican position and assertion that Democrats, through the aforementioned "For The People Act (H.R.1), will systematically change the federal election system.

Republicans assert that H.R. 1 will "seize the authority of states to regulate voter registration" and make it easier for individuals to commit voter fraud."

In reading the text of the  "For The People Act," the Republican argument seems to be qualified.

The federal bill does call for changes to the current election process at the state level, mandating states to follow federal election mandates, and easing voting restrictions that could allow for illegal immigrants to vote in upcoming elections. Sen. Rubio has accused Rep. Demings of supporting an open-borders immigration policy.

The "war on women' Demings is referring to is the long-standing battle between pro-Abortion activists like herself and those who oppose them. Over the past couple of years, Republicans across the nation have introduced "heartbeat" bills to outlaw abortions once a heartbeat is detected. Demings has voted against the Hyde and Helms amendments, to long-standing measures that have prevented taxpayer dollars to be used for abortions and for tax dollars to be used to fund abortions overseas.

We specifically asked Demings's office to clarify her statement that "every American hold have the right and the responsibility to participate in our democracy," but have not heard back.

It's not clear if Demings is referring to elections.

The contest between Sen. Rubio and Rep. Demings will be one of the closest watched Senate races this cycle, and while both lawmakers continue to raise millions of dollars to fuel their respective senatorial campaigns, Republicans like Rubio still have a clear advantage over their Democratic counterparts.

Democrats will either sink or swim for fully embracing President Biden's agenda and the agenda of the Progressive Democratic wing of the Democratic Party. As more and more Democrats are jumping ship and leaving the Congress, right now it seems as if remaining Democrats are willing to go down with the ship. Someone forgot to load the life preservers.
