Americans were outraged when President Joe Biden called for the hasty retreat of American Military forces out of Afghanistan last August, a move that left 13 American servicemen and women dead, and billions of dollars in military equipment behind.
Military leaders and former military members of the U.S. Congress, including Republican Reps. Brian Mast, Greg Steube, and Michael Waltz, and Sen. Rick Scott, all echoed what President Biden himself once said: “you leave those billions of dollars of weapons behind, I promise, they are going to use them against your grandchild and mine someday.”
During his first run for president in 2007, then-Senator Biden told a group of potential voters and supporters that if he was president, and gave the order to pull “American troops out” of an “endless war,” it would take a year to get them all physically out.
Biden added if all the equipment was left behind, that troop withdrawal timeline would be moved up to 7 months but promised that the “billions of dollars of weapons” left behind by the U.S. Military would be used against us in the future.
A recently posted Tik Tok Video clip of Biden’s 2007 C-Span video at a Democratic Party event in Iowa warning of leaving weapons behind has been making the rounds of social media but was never disseminated by media outlets until now.
“It makes a big difference to tell the American people the truth about what our options are in an endless war. If tomorrow, the order goes out… I’m president of the United States. I issue an order: End the war today, begin to withdraw all American troops.
It will take a year to get the American troops out. You hear me now? The truth. It will take a year to get them physically out. Now, if you leave all of the equipment behind, you might be able to do it for 7 months and you leave those billions of dollars of weapons behind, I promise, they are going to use them against your grandchild and mine someday.”-President Joe Biden.
Moments after the U.S.Military completed its pull-out or retreat from Afghanistan, the terrorist Taliban has been photographed and videotaped parading around in the uniforms and weaponry the Biden administration left behind. Now the Pakistani military is taking in the weaponry.
