President Joe Biden (D) famously campaigned on not raising taxes on families that report an annual income below $400,000 per year. However, Biden's new inflation tax will raise taxes on middle-class families by 30%, leading US Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) to accuse President of telling a bald-faced lie.
In order to combat the never-ending inflation crisis, the Biden Administration has proposed a new tax plan that would answer the Republican concerns of keeping the US Dollar strong. However, this plan contradicts the President's biggest campaign promise yet, not raising taxes on the middle class.
However, Senator Scott thinks Biden's dishonesty extends beyond the recent contradiction, stating today that, "IT’S ALWAYS BEEN A LIE," in a recent Tweet. The Florida Senator added, "Biden’s inflation tax is already crushing working families. I will not support any tax hike."
Senator Scott is not, however, the only person who thinks the President has not delivered on his promises. A new Monmouth University poll reports that 62% of Americans do not think Biden has delivered on another one of his promises, "to get Washington working."
On the other hand, the Biden Administration has claimed victory in terms of implementing their policy. This week President Biden championed his new infrastructure bill where Democrats successfully gained enough Republican votes to pass the legislation.
Infrastructure, like the War on Terror, is an issue many administrations swore to confront, but never have, unlike Joe Biden. the Biden Administration is definitely changing the status quo in America.
