President Joe Biden has just scored a big win as the House just passed his $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill as part of the “Bidenomics” agenda he put forward since taking office last January.
The final vote was 228-226 and included Republican defections.
Republican Reps. John Katko, Don Bacon, Jeff Van Drew, Don Young, Fred Upton, Adam Kinzinger, Anthony Gonzalez of Ohio, Brian Fitzpatrick, Tom Reed, Andrew Garbarino, Nicole Malliotakis, David McKinley, and Chris Smith of New Jersey, cross the aisle and voted alongside House Democrats, while the “Squad” voted against the measure.
Since the measure already passed in the U.S. Senate, President Biden will now sign the bill into law.
Florida Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D) stated that she was “THRILLED the bipartisan infrastructure bill has finally passed the House & will now go to the President’s desk to become law.” Rep. Murphy added, “The bill will dramatically improve quality of life in FL by providing us w/ better roads & bridges, modern ports, high-speed broadband, & clean water.”
