State Senator Annette Taddeo (D) has been vocal in her opposition to the State Department delisting FARC from its list of terrorist organizations. However, when questioned about her political beliefs, the Florida lawmaker took issue with DeSantis spokeswoman Christina Pushaw questioning her membership as a Democrat. Criticizing “little Ronnie’s regime,” the gubernatorial hopeful slammed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R), accusing him of being a Governor that wants to “emulate dictators.”

After the Biden Administration announced that FARC would be delisted from the State Department’s list of terrorist organizations, a bipartisan number of lawmakers raised questions and concerns over the implications of the decision.

Senator Taddeo took to Twitter to voice her disapproval of the decision.

Following up on the subject matter, Taddeo posted a picture of her and her family in Colombia, writing that “growing up on a farm in Colombia taught me a lot, but it did not prepare me for the night a Marxist terrorist group kidnapped my father and took over our farm.” “Seeing my parents persevere through the seemingly impossible taught me to always #believe and never give up.”

In response, Pushaw asked, “seriously, with this kind of family history, why are you a Democrat?” “The Biden Administration doesn’t consider FARC a terrorist group; in fact, Democrats want to legitimize and aid them.”

Heading into the 2022 midterm election, GOP officials have criticized Democrats over allegedly sympathizing with “far-left” policies.

However, Taddeo quickly responded to the Tweet, writing “news flash sweetie: Democrats don’t suffer from blind allegiance to blowhards who emulate dictators, like your boss.”

She added that the Democrat party is fighting for “policies like expanding Medicaid and standing up for small businesses – things GOP voters want but have no chance to get under little Ronnie’s regime.”
