Sabatini Pushes for Total Ban of Vaccine Mandates in FL

Share

While vaccine rhetoric may be popular in the state of Florida, State Rep. Anthony Sabatini (R-32) takes it one step further.  Today, Rep. Sabatini is pushing for a total ban on employee vaccine mandates.

After President Biden (D) authorized an executive order that mandated vaccines or self-payed weekly testing for companies with 100+ employees, the country reacted in a multitude of ways.  While most of the country has been vaccinated, even those who choose to receive the vaccine have opposed a federal mandate, such as reporter Sage Steele who famously called vaccine mandates, "scary."

For Sabatini, vaccines have always been a private thing, insisting Americans are competent enough to choose to be vaccinated or not for themselves.

Today, however, Sabatini took to Twitter where he wrote, "It’s time for a total BAN on employee vaccine mandates in Florida TODAY!"  The state representative also included a link for a direct petition to ban the practice in Florida:

Sabatini is running against incumbent US Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-FL) for her District 7 seat in central Florida.  Although Murphy has been painted as a moderate, it is unclear what her thoughts are on an all-out federal mandate of the vaccine, which some have called a complete government overreach.

State Rep. Sabatini is not the first to take such a stance.  Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) has also taken action to ensure that Biden Administration policies regarding vaccines stay in Washington, and out of Texas.
