Rasmussen Reports has officially found that President Biden (D) is now more unpopular than former President Donald Trump (R) at the same time in their respective administrations. Biden's approval numbers continue to sink.
In the midst of several crises, Biden has seen numbers that do not reflect the unified rhetoric in his inauguration speech. With the Afghanistan debacle now a couple of weeks behind us, voters have left Biden in droves, tanking his approval rating down to a sobering 43%.
In contrast, President Trump enjoyed a marginally higher rating of 46% on October 7, 2017, exactly 4 years ago today.
1st Term Presidential Job Approval % - Oct 7th
10/7/09 - Barack Obama - 49%
10/7/17 - Donald Trump - 46%
10/7/21 - Joe Biden - 43% https://t.co/KUBYQ5mJUh pic.twitter.com/kwAn7kZFFl— Rasmussen Reports (@Rasmussen_Poll) October 7, 2021
Despite gathering the most votes for any presidential candidate ever against Donald Trump, Biden is somehow proving to be less popular than the man he often blamed for the division of the entire country.
The Floridian previously reported an earlier Rasmussen poll that showed 51% of voters disapproving of Biden, well before the Afghanistan withdrawal.
In addition to unsavory polls for Vice President Kamala Harris (D), proving her to be the most unpopular VP in 50 years, Republicans should potentially expect former President Trump to seek out his second term in 2024 if the data is any indicator of the near future.
