New Poll: 52% of Americans Want Biden to Resign

Share

While the GOP fantasy of President Biden (D) resigning seems a bit much, it could now become a reality.  After the bipartisanly criticized Afghanistan debacle, handing over the nation to the Taliban, a new poll shows that 52% of Americans want Joe Biden to resign.

Twitter users have been able to keep the hashtag "#ImpeachBidenHarrisPelosiNow" and another fan favorite "#BidenisaFailure" trending for several weeks now.  However, the data is becoming more concrete than social media posts as the latest shocking display of the president’s polling free fall, the latest Rasmussen Reports survey found that a majority of Americans (52%) want Biden to resign over the withdrawal alone. Just 39% disagree, far short of his political base.

The Floridian recently reported that Biden's approval rating has also seen an unfavorable rating, given a -15 net approval score by Rasmussen Polling, showing similar numbers to former President Donald Trump (R).

However, Republicans are put between a rock and a hard place when facing VP Kamala Harris (D) as the next president to take over if there is to be a Biden resignation.

The Floridian previously reported on a poll that found Harris to be the most unpopular Vice President in 50 years (yes, that includes Dick Cheney).  Rasmussen also inquired into the same voter pool on Harris.  Only 38% said she is “qualified” to be president, while a sizable 58% said she isn’t. And 47% said she is “not at all qualified,” the lowest rating in the poll.

The president’s scrambling to defend the withdrawal and turn the public’s attention to other issues has flopped, according to the survey.
