It’s been four days since Hurricane Ida struck Louisiana, and residents are still complaining they are struggling to survive, and are wondering where the federal government is, in particular President Joe Biden and FEMA. Where is the President?
One single mom expressed her desperation and growing frustration over the federal government’s handling of the hurricane recovery efforts
“I gotta sleep in the car my kids are hot. We hungry. We gonna die in here. Where's FEMA? Where's the Red Cross? We need help now. Can y'all help us? We’re about to die? We got children in here,” said the woman. I'm a single mom and I'm doing about myself. It’s hot hard out here, can they help us? Where's the president, can he come help us? Where's the FEMA?”
President Biden is expected to visit the region today to access the damage Hurricane Ida left.
Many around New Orleans are still without power, running water, gas, and food.
