DeSantis Dubs President 'Forgetful Biden'

Share

President Joe Biden (D) and Governor Ron DeSantis (R) have been on opposing sides regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. The Florida Governor has already vowed that the state will not be locking down, the state will not be requiring a mask mandate, and the state will not be requiring vaccine passports. When asked about the potential problem Governor DeSantis could be encouraging, President Biden questioned, “Governor who?” In response, DeSantis has dubbed the President “Forgetful Biden,” questioning “what else has he forgotten?”

“It’s clear there’s a lot that Joe Biden has forgotten about” assured the Governor in a press release distributed this week by the Friends of Ron DeSantis.

In the release, DeSantis makes a distinction between himself and President Biden, arguing that the President has “forgotten to tackle the crisis on our southern border that is reaching a fever pitch as hundreds of thousands of migrants” along with “addressing the inflation that is taking dollars out of the wallets of Americans and about providing internet to the freedom fighters in Cuba.” DeSantis also argued that Biden has “forgotten about our Constitution, something he has a sworn duty to uphold.”

In contrast, DeSantis, who hasn’t ruled out a Presidential run in 2024, called himself “the governor who stands up for the rights of Floridians… protects the rights of parents to decide what’s best for their families – NOT unelected government bureaucrats – and protects the rights of kids to have a proper in-person education.”

Calling Biden someone who’s “in a constant state of confusion,” DeSantis assured that “if Joe Biden continues to come after the liberties of Floridians, he’ll learn in a hurry EXACTLY who Governor Ron DeSantis is and WHAT HE’S MADE OF.”

Governor DeSantis' comments come at a time when the Sunshine State is experiencing a rise in COVID-19 cases as a result of the Delta variant.
