While America may be more divided than ever, infrastructure has remained an issue that Republicans and Democrats alike have been wanting to get done for years. Now, there seems to be a real potential to get the deal done under President Biden (D), however former-President Trump (R) who failed to strike a bipartisan deal is now calling on the GOP to back out of it, claiming that "the Radical Left" is playing the GOP for "weak fools and losers!"
Infrastructure, which Americans agree needs to be improved, is a pressing issue, which is why Biden's plan intends to pour literally trillions of dollars into the pending legislative measure. However, President Trump doesn't see this bill as bipartisan as it may seem, calling the Republicans who sign onto this bill "RINOs" (Republican In Name Only):
"Senate Republicans are being absolutely savaged by Democrats on the so-called 'bipartisan' infrastructure bill. Mitch McConnell and his small group of RINOs wants nothing more than to get a deal done at any cost to prove that he can work with the Radical Left Democrats. It is so important to him that he is agreeing to almost anything. Don’t do the infrastructure deal, wait until after we get proper election results in 2022 or otherwise, and regain a strong negotiating stance. Republicans, don’t let the Radical Left play you for weak fools and losers!" Stated Trump
According to Biden's website, his infrastructure initiative aims to "Create millions of good, union jobs rebuilding America’s crumbling infrastructure – from roads and bridges to green spaces and water systems to electricity grids and universal broadband – to lay a new foundation for sustainable growth, compete in the global economy, withstand the impacts of climate change, and improve public health, including access to clean air and clean water."
The plan sounds nice, but negotiations seem to be falling apart on the funding side of it. Republicans and Democrats cannot agree on where to salvage money from for Biden's $1.2 Trillion deal that adds to his overall plan to invest $4.1 trillion back into the country with the President's Build Back Better plan.
