Rubio Calls Democratic Socialists 'Crazy,' Says U.S. Needs to Expedite Evil Cuban Regime's Death

Share

Miami— “The leaders in Cuba aren’t just evil, they are incompetent people,” said Senator Marco Rubio during a Fox News Channel “Hannity” town hall meeting at the iconic Versaille restaurant, where he and Gov. Ron DeSantis appeared to discuss the protests occurring on the island of Cuba and throughout the exile community.

Sen.Rubio’s response to questions about the Cuban regime and the human rights atrocities it has been committing for 6 decades was nothing less than scathing.

“There is no US embargo against the Cuban people. The only embargo is on the Cuban regime because they own everything, every business,” said a visibly upset Rubio in responding to the Democratic Socialists' belief that the oppression in Cuba is because of the long-standing U.S. embargo.

Rubio continued, saying that he found it incredible to believe that a “segment of the population represented in the radical base of the Democratic Party,” which is represented by several key players within the Biden administration, actually believes that America is to blame for virtually every problem that happens around the world, concluding that this fringe group of individuals was simply “crazy.”

“We live in the freeist, most prosperous nation in human history, and yet somehow, we have segment of the population represented in the radical base of the Democratic Party that thinks behind every problem in the world, its America’s fault. Behind every problem in the world, America must be doing something wrong to cause this problem. These people exist and they’re real. I am not saying the majority of the Democrat Party, I’m saying they are the ones raise the money, that knock on the doors, and in many of the key posts of this administration.

I understand it, because they are crazy.

But like Gov. DeSantis, Rubio has been critical of President Joe Biden’s response, or lack of response to the evil Cuban government, and pressed that the U.S. needed to help expedite the regime’s fall from power.

Rubio concluded, “In the end, it’s not going to save this regime. This regime has been mortally wounded, its lost its legitimacy, I’m not telling you it's going to be quick and is going to be easy, but it’s a dying animal, and we need to do everything we can to expedite its passing.”

Rubio’s side-by-side appearance with DeSantis on the “Hannity” show could have been a little preview of a potential 2024 Republican Presidential primary showdown between the two political heavyweights.

Both men are said to be interested in running for president, but only if former President Donald Trump does not run for reelection.
