[GRAPHIC VIDEO] Stephanie Murphy Called To Resign After Making Offensive Gesture

Between mask mandates, a border crisis, and a January 6th Committee, it's no secret that there is tension on Capitol Hill right now.  However, Florida's own US Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-FL) apparently had enough this week and may have let the pressure get to her. Rep.Murphy appears to have directed an offensive gesture (flipped the bird) to a National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) staffer who was trying to ask her a question as Murphy walked toward the congressional office buildings.

The female staffer asked Murphy, "Congresswoman Murphy, quick question, do you think Nancy Pelosi should be arrested for breaking her own mask mandate?"  In which Murphy proceeds to walk by while giving what Republicans have quickly taken offense to.

NRCC communications director Michael McAdams slammed the House Democrat for the obscene gesture in a Friday statement to Fox News.  "House Democrats can’t handle being held accountable for their radical actions so they’re resorting to making obscene gestures at young female staffers," McAdams said.

Fox News has since reached out to Murphy's office where they were given no response.

Rep. Murphy who is running to defend her incumbency in District 7 against state Rep. Anthony Sabatini (R-32) had a lot to say about the video, calling Murphy Total swamp trash... Central Florida deserves better."  Sabatini continued, saying that "She's an embarrassment to our state.  Absolutely revolting and disgusting," and that her blatant and vulgar gesture was "One of the most disgusting things"  he had ever seen.

Rep. Sabatini demanded that Murphy apologize or resign from the House of Representatives for making the offensive gesture.

"She needs to apologize to each and every voter in Central Florida Immediately or resign," concluded Sabatini.

While Murphy has maintained a bipartisan appeal and has shown the ability to work with both sides of the aisle successfully, throwing up the bird at staffers doesn't exactly compliment that platform.
