Taddeo Says 'I'm in No Rush" to Jump Into the 2022 Democratic Gubernatorial Race

Miami Beach, FL— While Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried and Rep. Charlie Crist have already announced the respective gubernatorial campaigns, one increasingly potential  2022 Democratic gubernatorial candidate, State Senator Annette Taddeo, is strongly considering jumping into the contested primary race.

During a Holocaust memorial rally on Miami Beach, Sen. Taddeo told The Floridian that she "was in no rush" to get in the race, and will be in Central Florida meeting with regional activists and elected officials in what could only be perceived as a move to test the gubernatorial waters.

To Sen. Taddeo's credit, she is able to give credit where credit is due if it is praising and complimenting her former gubernatorial running mate and potential opponent.

"I am a better person politically because of him," said Taddeo in speaking about Rep. Crist and concurred that Crist is arguably the best retail politician in Florida history and that many Floridian's still like him "because he's such a nice guy."

Taddeo also said that she wouldn't be considering a run if she didn't think she could win, and wouldn't have spent money conducting a poll between herself, Fried, and Crist.

The internal poll Taddeo conducted shows a clear path to victory for the Colombian-American legislator, even though she is only garnered 13% support from those polled, while Crist and Fried garnered 26% and 24%, respectively.

According to the poll, Taddeo has a huge advantage over Fried and Crist among Blacks and Hispanics, and with Rep. Val Demings possibly being at the very top of the ticket, were she to run against Sen. Marco Rubio (R), Florida Democrats "could be well-positioned to have two women of color break barriers and make history."

Taddeo recently railed against the Republican Party's "Socialism" narrative that was effectively used against Democrats during the 2020 presidential election cycle, saying that Democrats needed to combat the "lies" the GOP was spreading against them.
