Randolph Bracy Releases Campaign Video

With Florida Rep. Val Demings (D) challenging Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R) for his seat in 2022, state Senator Randolph Bracy (D) is forging his path as a Congressional hopeful. In doing so, he’s just released a two-minute video, making the case for why Floridians should vote for him to replace Rep. Demings.

In the video titled “Randolph Bracy for Congress,” Bracy argues that Floridians “need leaders who know how to fight and win to achieve real justice and equity for every American.”

Bracy, who won reelection to the state Senate after serving in the Florida House of Representatives, is also facing civil rights attorney Natalie Jackson (D) and state Attorney Aramis Ayala (D) in the Democratic primary.

At a time when Americans face “a pandemic. Heart-breaking violence against Americans. Historic assaults against. Our voting rights,” Bracy explains that “we look to the heroes of the past for inspiration to take up this fight again” because “the stakes couldn’t be higher.”

The Florida Democrat goes on to explain that he plans on proposing reform related to health care, education, affordable housing and economic development. “We can do this by building new programs in Washington to rebuild every part of America,” Bracy commented.

Rep. Demings has served Florida’s 10th Congressional district for 3 terms, and though the district has been considered “safely Democratic” since the 2016 presidential election, Republicans are hoping to expand their leadership in the Sunshine State after surprise victories in the 2020 presidential election.

Bracy, who served in the Florida House from 2012 to 2016, was elected to the state Senate in 2016. In late May, he announced that he would be running for Congress.

During an interview with the Orlando Sentinel, he shared that he’s “very passionate about this community.”

“I love this community, and I’ve done the best I can to serve this community,” he added.

“And I think I can serve this community even better in Congress,” Bracy reminded.
