Byron Donalds on CRT: 'That's Not What We Do In America'

Amid all of the headlines Critical Race Theory has been making in Florida, Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL) appeared on Fox News telling critical Race theorists "That's not what we do in America."

Florida has been the subject of debate in terms of Critical Race Theory after the state joined roughly 20 others in banning the curriculum from being taught in public schools after a mass grievances of parents.

While Progressive Democrats have branded this as intolerant, some Conservatives don't believe the ban goes far enough, such as state Rep. Spencer Roach (R-79) who previously told the Floridian he was concerned with the exact words "Critical Race Theory," not being in the language of the ban.  Since then, Roach has vowed to propose a bill next session to deepen the anti-CRT stance the state of Florida has already more or less taken.

Rep.Donalds, who has risen to national notoriety after his election in the last cycle, joined Will Cain on Fox News to discuss the controversial social theory where he accused CRT of "un-analyzing and destroying every institution in our republic," adding that to ensure America is a great place "you do that by making sure that people have freedom and opportunity."

Donalds proposed that if we are going to talk about "systemically racist institutions, let's talk about public education.  It's one of the longest-running institutions in the United States, the Left doesn't want to change that!  They want to change other things!"

The representative finds that if we are to live in a truly equal society, we should not focus on equity, but "make sure everybody has clear opportunities to be successful on their own merit," elaborating  "You can't have politicians fix the game."

Byron Donalds then called this movement behind CRT "despotism by a small group of people who believe their ideas are better than everybody else's.  And unfortunately, that is what some of the Critical Race Theorists like to say," finalizing his rant claiming that "getting re-educated" their way is "not what we do in America."
