Former President Trump confirmed reports that he restart his campaign-signature MAGA in four battleground states starting next month amid mounting speculation he is planning to make a comeback bid for the White House in 2024.
“Relatively soon, we’ll be doing one in Florida, we’re gonna do one in Ohio, we’re gonna do one in Georgia, we’re gonna do one in North Carolina,” Trump said in an interview with One America News Thursday night. “We’ll be announcing them very soon over the next week or two, and I think we’ll probably start in Florida and Ohio, and we’ll be announcing the rallies very shortly.”
Dates and locations have not yet been announced, but a source revealed to The Floridian that Trump’s team is currently in the process of selecting the venues for the pair of June rallies.
While Trump won the Sunshine State, Ohio, and North Carolina in both the 2016 and 2020 elections, he became the first Republican candidate to unfortunately lose Georgia by nearly 12,000 votes since former President George H.W. Bush in 1992. The former president apparently became the first presidential candidate to have won Florida and Ohio but failed to obtain the 270 electoral votes needed to win the overall presidential election. It was reported to be bizarre as it is widely theorized that if a candidate wins both states, they are considered the presidential election winner.
Trump has not held a huge rally or addressed supporters in a rally setting since the Jan. 6 “Stop the Steal” rally that ended in the U.S. Capitol riots.
However, Trump refused to confirm whether he is planning to run for president in 2024, despite repeatedly teasing the possibility.
“I’m gonna make a decision at the right time, and I’ll let you know,” Trump said.
Earlier this month, Trump said he “looks forward” to officially making a “certain announcement” given at “the right time” regarding his decision about the possibility of a 2024 run. Over the last few weeks, Trump has noted that he would not make any final decision until after seeing the results of the 2022 midterm election, whether the GOP regains control of both chambers of Congress.
“The answer is I’m absolutely enthused. I look forward to making an announcement at the right time,” Trump said in a phone interview on Candace Owens’ Daily Wire talk show. “As you know, it’s very early. But I think people are going to be very, very happy when I make a certain announcement.”
