Spencer Roach Sounds Off On Biden Over HB 1475

Share

After HB 1475, the controversial transgender athlete bill made its way to Governor Ron DeSantis' desk and was signed into law, the measure has made national headlines and even got the attention of President Biden (D), who has threatened to "confront " the legislation.

Since its passing, the President and his DOJ have made clear that they will pursue bills like HB 1475 in all states in Biden's effort to defend transgender Americans, claiming, "fully enforce our civil rights statutes to protect transgender individuals."

Outspoken Conservative in the Florida House Rep. Spencer Roach, co-author of the legislation, is now firing back at the President in efforts to defend Florida's female athletes.

The Floridian reached out to Roach where he described Biden's handling of the bill now passed into law as, "yet another example of the authoritarian left's attempt to override the will of the people."

Roach wants to make it more than clear that Biden's comments have nothing to do with a policy disagreement, rather the un-democratic practice of overturning the bill signed into law. Roach warned that the "The federal government has no authority under the Constitution to impose radical gender-theory policies onto our state that has been so soundly rejected by the majority of Floridians."

Roach then sounded off his final message to the Biden Administration, and warned to not touch HB 1475:

"We must send a message to DC that we believe in the 10th Amendment and this usurpation of the Constitution will not go unchallenged in the state of Florida."

If Biden's vow carries any merit, expect a judicial battle in the state of Florida, and no budging on behalf of Rep. Roach.
