After a wave of bad press, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) made one of his first public appearances since his sex trafficking allegations made headlines, where he confronted the deep state and refused to be silenced.
Gaetz took the stage in the Villages, Florida, and told an excited group of people that CNN, "Propoganized my life, because I'm effective. Because I stand in the way of an agenda that will hurt my fellow Americans. They will not silence me, we will not back down, and the truth will prevail."
Gaetz went on to reference Project Veritas, the journalists who caught a CNN director admitting that the Gaetz allegations are, "propaganda."
The representative credits the accusations to the works of the deep state and wants Americans to know that it's real. Gaetz ranted, "Just look at what we've seen, an FBI lawyer changed evidence before a secret court to have the opportunity to surveil someone, who they thought was close to President Trump so that they could exact their politics through the FBI," adding, "Former FBI disgraced director Jim Comey, admitted under Congress that he leaked information for the purpose of getting a political investigation going."
Gaetz also listed his other suspected deep state operatives such as James Clapper and his role in lying about the collection of American citizen's data. He also referenced the prosecution of General Michael Flynn, crediting his fall to the corrupt intel community.
Rep. Gaetz capped off his rant with a simple statement, "The deep state is real," adding that it is, "in places, you wouldn't think, even at the Post Office." Gaetz claims that the United States Post Office has an internet covert operations program.
Also at the event was controversial Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who is currently working on legislation with Gaetz to abolish the Post Office's internet covert operations program, which hopes to reduce government spying on private citizens.
At the end of his speech, Gaetz continued to reassure he is the victim of a disinformation campaign, where he stated, "We have a right to confront our accusers in this country, there can be no due process here, if the only process due to Conservatives is to see leaks embroidered onto lies then just endlessly repeated by the America last media."
