Democrats Focus on 'Gun Violence' and not Premeditated Criminal Shooting in Miami

Share

No sooner than the news broke that a mass shooting occurred in Miami-Dade County leaving 2 dead and over 20 wounded, Florida Democrats began to place blame on “gun violence” instead of pointing the finger at the premeditated criminal act committed by armed criminals.

U.S. Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D), who has decided against running for the U.S. Senate against Senator Marco Rubio (R), accused Sens. Rubio and Rick Scott (R) of “playing politics” and refusing to take up the “gun violence” in the U.S. Senate.

Sen. Rubio has pushed for "Red flag laws" and Sen. Scott, while governor of Florida, signed into law a comprensive gun law shortly after the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School shooting that left 17 innocent students and teachers dead.

“Heartbroken to see that yet another mass shooting has stolen more innocent lives and torn apart another community,” stated Rep. Murphy. “Florida needs their Senators to stop playing politics and start doing something about gun violence in this country. When will enough be enough?

Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-pictured), whose congressional district’s border runs across the street where the shooting took place, referred to the incident as a “war zone” and also called out Republican members of Congress for refusing to “ pass comprehensive gun violence reform legislation.”

Hours after the shooting, Miami-Dade Police released surveillance video footage of the moment the three masked gunmen pulled up in a white SUV they stole two weeks ago and ran up to the event site with guns drawn.

The shooters are then seen seconds later running back into the stolen vehicle after allegedly firing on the crowd of innocent bystanders.

State Rep. and congressional candidate Omari Hardy (D), an unapologetic Progressive Democrat, posted the surveillance video and offered an accurate assessment of the video, but instead of calling it a premeditated “hit,” Rep. Hardy stated that “commonsense gun reform” was needed and that gun violence had to end.

In contrast, Gov. Ron DeSantis tweeted that Florida as a whole mourned the loss of life and was  praying for the injured before stating that his office was working with local law enforcement "to bring justice to the perpetrators."

Police have since located the stolen SUV. The vehicle wassunk in a retention pond and police still do not have suspects or persons of interest.
