American Airlines Caves To Cancel Culture, Opposes Election Integrity Laws

Share

The world’s largest airline, American Airlines, has just announced that it was siding with Delta Airlines in opposition to Georgia’s new election law that President Joe Biden just called “Jim Crow on Steroids.”

“To make American’s stance clear: We are strongly opposed to this bill and others like it.”- American Airlines

It appears as if Dallas-based American Airlines, like the other business who have expressed their distaste with the new law that would get rid of ballot drop boxes and mandate voters to show picture identification when they cast their ballot, is caving to potential boycotts many Black activists like Stacy Abrams have threatened because they feel this and similar law disenfranchise the Black community.

This is Cancel Culture and once again, it appears as if U.S. businesses are caving to pressure for fear that they could be lumped into the ‘supporting racism’ narrative.

The airline, which has a large footprint at Miami International Airport (MIA), is also against the similar measure (SB 7) that the Texas legislature is considering in the 2021 legislative session.

The Texas bill is a lot more stringent than the Georgia law.

Texas bill would limit early voting hours, prohibit drive-thru voting and make it illegal for officials to send mail-in ballot applications to individuals.

American Airlines has not responded to The Floridian’s request for comment.

The Georgia Law

Biden and Democrats have focused their energies on a couple of the measures in the law, one being the restriction that activist groups cannot give out campaign literature or food and beverages within 150 feet of the polling locations. Activists could give out food and water beyond 150 feet, so one or two feet really won’t make a difference to anyone that could be waiting in line for an extended period of time.

But how disingenuous have Democrats been with voters in stating untruths about the law?

President Biden himself was caught telling a lie about the Georgia law. Biden said the law “ends voting hours early.”

It doesn’t. According to The Hill, “the bill does mandate poll hours be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., it allows polling places the choice to expand hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Republicans contend that the bill was filed to help curb voter fraud, fraud that many suspect occurred during the 2020 presidential election.

Photo ID’s

A picture ID is required to board a plane, drive a car, pick up prescription drugs, and do many other things.

According to the new law, Georgians must now show a picture ID to vote.

“To apply for an absentee ballot, Georgia voters must now show proof of driver’s license, state-issued ID or the last four digits of their social security number if they lack an ID,” stated The Hill

It makes all the sense in the world to require a picture ID to vote. Shouldn’t election officials know if someone like an illegal alien, foreign national, or even a wanted criminal or foreign terrorist, is trying to vote in their respective state?
