While most people had President Donald Trump (R) on their minds during this past weekend's CPAC convention, former Governor Scott Walker (R-WI), told The Floridian that he would consider a future presidential run.
Fortunately, I had the chance to pull Walker aside and ask him about his political future and if a Wisconsin Senate seat would be on his mind. Gov. Walker responded, "Someday maybe, I actually loved being governor, I love executive issues and getting things done," said Gov. Walker when asked about a potential 2024 presidential run. "Well, we'll see."
Walker has been relatively quiet in the political world since losing the 2016 GOP presidential primary race, and the 2018 gubernatorial race in Wisconsin.
The CPAC presidential straw poll that was conducted showed that if President Trump did not run for reelection in 2024, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) would be the hands-on favorite to win the Republican presidential nomination.
