Florida Leads intends to put emphasis on maximizing Florida's COVID Response, education, and the environment.
In total, the governor intends to put $96.6 billion into the program, where $2.6 billion will be used to fund COVID-19 expenditures.
CEO of Florida Safety Net Hospital Alliance Justin Senior expressed his gratitude for the governor's support of quality healthcare in Florida.
In his most recent statement, Senior commented on the Governor's latest move, 'This recommended Florida Leads budget is more proof of Gov. DeSantis' unwavering support of our frontline healthcare workers treating an estimated nearly 60 percent of COVID-19 inpatients in our 14 safety net hospital systems around the state." Concluding that the Governor's support is, 'Essential' for the continuation of good healthcare.
