Cuban-Americans "voted accordingly" when they rejected Socialism and progressivism

Share

Florida Democrats were stunned on Election Day when droves of Latinos, namely Cuban-Americans, voted in favor of President Donald Trump and denounced the growing Democratic Party-supported Socialist agenda.

When Giancarlo Sopo, former Democrat and congressional staffer for Florida Rep. Joe Garcia left his party and became an Independent, South Florida politicos were scratching their heads as to why Sopo, a prominent Democrat would just abruptly get up and leave.

Sopo didn’t just leave his party, he left politics and joined the private sector, but still, dabble in posting his right-of-center political opinion in different news publications, and is now the Trump campaign's national director of rapid response for Spanish language media.

In a recent USA Today story about how and why Hispanics, namely those who have experienced socialism in Western Hemisphere countries like Cuba and Venezuela, Sopo spoke for thousands of Latinos who he said “voted accordingly” this past election when they denounced the “socialism and the progressive agenda” that the Biden campaign and self-styled Socialist Democrats in the U.S. Congress had been campaigning on.

“When you have national Democratic leaders praising Fidel Castro’s indoctrination programs and hailing neo-Marxists as ‘the future of the party,’ it communicated to our community that the Democratic Party does not respect our values,” said Giancarlo Sopo. "We simply voted accordingly, as did many other Latinos  like Colombians and Peruvians who want nothing to do with socialism and the progressive agenda.”

Sopo told The Floridian that "The Democratic leadership has to decide whether they want their party to continue to be associated with socialism and their more extreme members who are clearly alienating many voters across the country," adding, "If they don’t, then they need to stand up to the radicals.

Sopo’s well-versed critique resonated with arguably the strongest voice of opposition against Communism, Senator Marco Rubio.

Sen. Rubio has been the thorn in the side of the Castro regime in Cuban, and to the Maduro criminal government in Venezuela. Rubio has been such a problem for Maduro, that a credible threat against Rubio’s life was uncovered a couple of years back, not to mention that Maduro himself has directly blamed Rubio for much of the unrest in Venezuela.

It goes without saying that Rubio is persona non grata in Venezuela.

The defeat of Democratic Socialism in South Florida was the proverbial shot across the bow to the Democratic Party who appeared to believe that all Latinos were ready to accept the very same socialist ideology and agenda they or their relatives escaped from.

Now this sentiment and belief by Latinos that the incoming Biden administration team up with those congressional Democrat Socialist,  and not only embrace the Castros and Maduros of Latin America but try to indoctrinate Americans with the ideology that those dictators have oppressed their people with.

Shortly after Latinos in South Florida handed President Trump a resounding win in Florida by rebuking socialism, Rubio announced that he was running for reelection to the U.S. Senate in 2022.

Expect Rubio to focus his campaign on an anti-socialism message, and amplify his continued rebukes of the Cuban, Nicaraguan, and Venezuelan regimes for their embrace of Communism.
