In what appears to be another gaffe, or not, by former Vice President Joe Biden during a pre-COVID presidential campaign event, Biden told supporters that if they elected him, their “taxes are gonna be raised, not cut.”
Hard to believe he said he'd raise the taxes of everyday Americans, including those in the audience who do not make $400,000 a year, right?
Well, watch the video.
“If you elect me, your taxes are gonna be RAISED, not cut.”- Joe Biden
Biden’s promise to raise taxes falls in line with his recent statements that he would end Fracking and the entire oil industry.
Here is what he said at the last presidential debate after President Donald Trump asked him if he would close down the industry.
Trump: “Would he close down the oil industry?” “Would you close down the oil industry?”
Biden: “I would transition from the oil industry, yes,” Biden responded.
Trump: “That’s a big statement.”
Biden: “It is a big statement, because…the oil industry pollutes, significantly.” “It has to be replaced by renewable energy over time. And I’d stop giving to the oil industry—I’d stop giving them federal subsidies. [Trump] won’t give federal subsidies to solar and wind. Why are we giving it to the oil industry?”
