With two weeks left in the 2020 campaign, Democratic presidential nominee Presidential candidate Joe Biden made a brief visit to North Carolina Sunday afternoon, as reporters continue to refuse to ask the former Vice President any substantive questions unless it’s regarding his choice of milkshake flavor.
Before leaving the Tar Heel state, Biden and his granddaughter Finnegan, the daughter of Hunter Biden made a stop at the fast-food chain Cookout where they ordered milkshakes. After Biden received his order, a reporter on the scene is heard in the video shouting to the former vice president about the flavor of milkshake he ordered.
“Mr. Biden! Mr. Biden! What flavor did you get?” the reporter asked Biden.
“We got one vanilla and one chocolate, but I wanted to get what we call a black and white, but we are going to move it and split it,” Biden said in response.
Shortly after Biden revealed the milkshake flavor, the same reporter is heard trying to ask another question regarding the FBI but stopped midway in asking the question when the former Vice President just walks away.
“I have one more question. The FBI is —,” the reporter is heard asking before immediately being waved off Biden as he walks away with other reporters laughing.
The FBI questions come as the New York Post last Wednesday articles detailed emails from Hunter Biden regarding his foreign dealings while his father was vice president. In the trove of stories from the publication, one of those emails was confirmed by another person in the email thread that “the big guy” was in reference to the former vice president.
On Friday, Biden was finally asked two days since the New York Post story broke by a CBS reporter about the scandal, to which he lashed out, calling it a “smear campaign.”
“Mr. Biden, what is your response to the New York Post story about your son, sir?” CBS reporter Bo Erickson asked.
“I know you’d ask it. I have no response, it’s another smear campaign,” Biden lashed at Erickson. “Right up your alley, those are the questions you always ask.”
Biden is reported to have already called a four-day campaign lid until after Thursday night’s debate.
