Nuñez Schools Sanders on Communism

Share

Florida leadership is fighting back against Democratic Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders, one of the frontrunners for the Democratic nomination, after he made comments that it’s “unfair to simply say everything is bad” regarding Castro’s control over Cuba.

This week, in a message to supporters, Florida Lt. Governor Jeanette Nuñez (R) directed a message to supporters slamming Sanders, for having touted the “success” of Cuba under a communist regime.

She added that, “as the daughter of Cuban immigrants,” she was going to put the “legacy” of Castro and his communist regime into perspective for the Presidential hopeful.

Fidel Castro murdered as many as 141,000 Cubans,” she asserted, adding that “to give that murderous tyrant even an ounce of praise is a despicable insult to every Cuban-American in Florida who fled the evils of communist at risk of death.”

With this, she warned voters that it is no longer “an issue of Democrats vs. Republicans.”

“Communism is an issue of good vs. evil… of life vs. death,” Nuñez concluded.

And, “as long as I have a say in this state as Lieutenant Governor, Florida will NEVER tolerate the trivialization of the murder of Cubans, Americans, or any INNOCENT people.”

In their path towards potentially winning the White House, the Democratic hopefuls would need to win the sunshine state, which is home to many exiled people who have fled their country because of oppressive communist regimes.
