President Donald Trump scored a victory this week regarding the highly controversial border wall that became a staple of his 2016 Presidential platform.
In a statement released by the Press Secretary, it was announced that “the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has lifted an illegitimate nationwide injunction entered by a lower court.”
Furthermore, the Press Secretary explained that, in doing this, it “has allowed vital border wall construction to move forward using military construction finds.”
It’s explained as “a victory for the rule of law,” and the Trump administration asserts that they “are committed to keeping our borders secure.”
They will be doing this by being able to “finish the wall.”
The wall itself has become a controversial political point, but it has gained support since it began construction.
"The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has lifted an illegitimate nationwide injunction entered by a lower court, and in doing so has allowed vital border wall construction to move forward using military construction funds. This is a victory for the rule of law. We are committed to keeping our borders secure, and we will finish the wall."- WH Press Secretary
